So the plan to stay home on countdown day failed.
Met fer, fiq, edmund and nicholas at marina for steamboat dinner.
Buses were packed, so we walked there.
Thank you to buddy for getting seats for us so we didn't have to wait at all.
Left for georges at about eleven. Smart move.
All cabs were hired. Tried calling cabs for an hour plus.
Still no cab.
Till it struck twelve and the fireworks came on.
Five stranded people wished one another happy new year unwillingly by the roadside.
Walked back to the station and we finally got a cab.
Cab fare was dammit twenty bucks.
Traffic congestion. Reached georges at almost one.
Geroges was good. Live band and all.
Soon the rest came plus funky, affandi and huifang.
Black labelled and the unopened 42 below.
Everyone was getting tipsy and high.
Sorry to the dearests i left early.
The usual hug goodbyes to all and walked home.
New year, very different this year.
