The good old days.

Thinking back, it should be close to four years since i've gone back to TK. I think almost everybody misses TK, or rather days in TK.

How i would wake up at 6am everyday, complaining how i have to fold those sleeves over and over again. How i would prepare the green and yellow tie every sunday night before i go to bed. How i would reach school earlier than most people. How i would quicken my pace when i'm passing the janitor/school caretaker's room because it gives me the creeps.

3E. The first combined science class.

How we would always get hold of one hardworking person's homework and gather together to copy before the bell for assembly goes off. How the discipline mistress would come in and shut off our lights and fans just to rush us off to assembly. How the guys would rush to the toilets in between lessons because it was just next to the class. How we would find places to hide our books so we don't have to bring them home. How we would panic whenever there's a handphone check. How we would open up the projector and throw all our handphones in. How we would sms under the table. How we would sleep behind our books. How we would how we would how we would.. :)

The 3E to 3J corridor.

I must say. TK is already different :(
We went back today. And somehow, TK doesn't feel like TK anymore.
Additional shelters,an upgraded general office, a long extention part outside the library, new tables and seats in the canteen, additional piano and two televisions in the canteen, a changing room/shower room in the field, new needlework room, new consultation area outside the staff room, many more pots of plants, upgraded basketball court, extention of the auditorium and the centre of excellence!

Gosh. TK suddenly seems so new.

The new canteen.

When it was my time, canteen benches were really benches, as in those wooden benches that the keychains from our bags would sometimes get stuck in. They were standard, all the same for the whole canteen.

The canteen now- long tables and round tables. No more shaky wooden benches and definitely much cleaner. But urg, i still prefer the ones during my time. And how every clique would have their own table and sit there everyday without fail.

The western stall uncle is still the western stall uncle :) And look, they've got the maggi whipped potato machine too. For four years in tk, the only 2 stalls i buy from are the western stall and chicken rice stall. They're next to each other anyway. And the chicken rice couple recognises us :) How the uncle would always throw in a huge piece of ginger in my chicken porridge. Heh.

Chicken cutlet spagetti with white sauce. I swear TK serves the best western food ever.

So uncle has a new creation- Cutlet spagetti in curry sauce. That's zenas enjoying his new funky food.

So TK gets to be the centre of excellence for east zone. And i think that's something to be proud of! I can imagine the students having to sit down at the plaza after flag raising, while the principal goes up to the podium to make a speech on how excellent TK has done.

The centre of excellence, where art works and master pieces get displayed. There are paintings, inventions and gadgets. And i must say, those are damn smart kids and talented kids.

We walked to the auditorium area. I kind of miss that place. The place where i had my first choir audition in front of 80 seniors. The place we learnt our school song and how to tie the TK tie when we were freshies. The place where we have our combined chemistry lessons. The place where i had my first choir concert. And the place where i received my first speech day award :)

The school's heritage, right outside the auditorium.
